reception staff seem at times agitated and setup to be a 'firewall'; it seems too much trouble to be able to accommodate appointments for preferred/trusted docs; it's a 8am appointment melee in the morning (and btw what happened to online booking of appointments); some docs cant be pre-booked (or have little available); the 'family doc you always see' setup seems to have gone by the wayside; docs seem over-worked at times (not good!); seems like several visits are preferred to sort something that with bit of planning could be dealt with in one visit... ah well, everyone has a view and an expectation - perhaps they are doing the best they can with a smile on their faces, so maybe the above is a bit unfair/selfish .. after all we are only human

When in with one of the doctors recently, was made to feel like I was overreacting on something potentially life threatening and was told I am fat and insinuated that I ate too much. Was left feeling worse.

What has happened to the GP service? The pandemic has become an excuse among other things It used to be pretty good before the last three years and now it's ridiculous.
A message on their website which says "All appointments will be by phone." That's not how it used to be so why is it now (And a word of warning, do not put the pandemic up there as a reason).
Still can't book online appointments as it used to be.
The mad '8am' rush etc that is well known frustration all over. Some of the highest paid service providers are not deserving of that these days and that's coming from someone who respects the docs and what the docs do (or used to do), the ethics they had (or used to have) and someone who wants to see them not working stupidly long tiring hours and being abused etc, but who has now been driven to this.

On a few occasions, I have received a call from the surgery telling me my prescription is ready to collect from the pharmacy but when I get there they tell me it's not ready which is very frustrating.
Also on occasions when I have been in with the doctor he has not let me speak and cuts me off and rushes me.
I have found some of the reception staff to be rude at times.

The doctors are great but the secretarial staff & all but 1 member of reception staff are ignorant, & make you feel guilty for contacting them. About time the doctors got rid of them all before they lose all their patients.

Was booked in by practice, knowing my age and health and was told your not eligible for the flu jab when arrived for it. Total waste of every body's time!!!!!!!

Always able to get an appointment when needed. Lots of advice and joined up services.
Only comment is ability to book ahead for nurse appointments eg annual medication review - would be good if could plan ahead and make sure can get an appointment when have planned leave from work.

Really good. Made what could have been a very uncomfortable experience just fine. Total confidence in the team of people who did it. Skilled and experienced and kind as well.
