Too many bad experiences to write here - from not adding hospital/specialist letters to my record, not submitting referrals, sent boxes of painkillers rather than an appointment, telling me off for not contacting via phone when impossible to get through, not reacting to urgent health risks, and a total lack of respect or kindness from reception staff. Doctors are sometimes OK if you make it that far....

I contacted the surgery to make an appointment after becoming worried about a growth on my arm. They told me no appointments were available and to try again the next day which I did to be told the same thing again. I ended up going int surgery and they eventually offered me a telephone appointment but to be seen in person (which is what I need) I have to wait 3 weeks. I have acted on the advise we are given that if something looks and feels not right to get it checked out straight away but I walked away feeling not listened to and not worthy.

Husband and I were new to practice at beginning of lockdown. We have found everyone keen to support us from receptionists to doctors. Lots of phone calls to check in on us . Very happy.

My father was frail and elderly however managed to live independently with good social care and family support. He sadly passed away earlier this year however his wishes were always to stay at home and this was able to be done with the support of the excellent staff from SRMC. The GP's were responsive and came out for regular review and often responded to concerns from visiting therapists or district nurses by at home visits. Nothing was too much trouble and GP's always returned calls when promised. Once dads electric went off and the GP, who was there, rang the family and carers and stayed until assured help was on its way.
The practice leads extends its ethos of care to all the team and we received the same great service from the reception and other clinical staff as well. Well done and many thanks !!!
