Todmorden Dental Care

I've been a patient at this practice for 9 years now and have always been given a good service and regular appointments. Yesterday, my son chipped his front tooth so I needed an emergency appointment for him. I was expecting a long wait and several visits to get it sorted, but we were seen within half an hour and the dentist repaired his tooth there and then, not only that but checked the rest of his teeth so he doesn't have to go back for his routine appointment next week. The receptionist staff are clearly under pressure but still very helpful.

So happy I went to this dentist, they relieved me from my pain and everyone was so thoughtful. Thank you Tordmodern Dental Care.

Treatment will not always be explained if the say 2 visits it will be at least 4

I would 100% recommend Todmorden to my friends and family, the staff and dentists really do ensure patient care is a priority, the staff are welcoming and make sure you are comfortable, the wait times are not long at all, but of course it can get busy which for me, because of the service I would have no problem waiting at all.

I was looking for a place to get my teeth cleaned and I can honestly say I’m quite fussy, but the staff at Todmorden are lovely, they definitely make you feel welcome and are very polite, they really do take care of their clients.

I have been a registered patient here. I missed an appointment due to having covid and have been kicked out of the practice and offered a private appointment, despite being an NHS patient. They claim that I have cancelled 3 appointments too late and so now have to go on a year long waiting list or go private. This seems like a way to get patients to pay more that they have to.

Much like the above, no dental plan when in desperate need of one.
Made to feel ashamed and asked "why my teeth have got this way" when I've been attending their practice for 4 years.
No advice and lack of understanding of care.

Used to go to the local dentist but unless you want teeth whitening or fillers they're not interested. Not sure I have a dentist anymore and not sure anyone really cares, feels like no-one cares about teeth and gums until they can make loads of money from you. What happened to basic routine care to keep us healthy?
Is there an NHS dentist in Todmorden anymore?
