Update on orthodontics service in Calderdale

We recently asked people to tell us if they were struggling to get braces (orthodontics) for their child. 

Lots of you got in touch to tell us your child had been waiting years already or you’d been told to expect to wait between 3-5 years for this service. 

We got in touch with NHS England who look after the waiting list.  If you want reassurance that they have your referral, you can get in touch with them on 0113 493 1920 or by email: d.referrals@nhs.net

At the moment, they still won’t be able to tell you when your child will be seen as orthodontic services are only just starting to see new patients due to Covid-19, but you can at least check that your child’s referral is in the system.
